This series of lecture will address the following topics:
- historical motivations for considering inflation and
its implementation in terms of a scalar field in slow
roll,
- perturbation theory during inflation,
- quantization of the perturbations and initial conditions
for the gravitational dynamics.

The main goals of the lectures are (1) to explain how the
quantum fluctuation of the inflation can be related to
the initial power spectrum of the large scale structure
and (2) to discuss the ``generic predictions'' of inflation
(in its simplest form of single field inflation).
