This topic encompasses extragalactic large-scale structures in the more local Universe, with emphasis on the Zone of Avoidance through multi-wavelength surveys in uncovering the ZOA, with particular focus on the Norma cluster, the mapping of the Great Attractor and the Great Attractor/Shapley controversy. It also includes studies cosmic flow fields, the Tully-Fisher relation and the extragalactic distance scale. It has been the focus of research over decades of many of the astronomy members.
